HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! If you follow my personal Instagram account you may of noticed a slight change in content...instead of hospital food and takeaways there is now in fact copious amounts of baby pictures! But who is this little munchkin you may ask. Well we would like to properly introduce Mr Theodore Ryan Newstead to the world.
He came screaming into this world on New Year's Eve - 31st December, just in case you didn't know... - at 10am exactly. And I mean screaming! For a tiny baby weighing only 4lb 4oz I can safely say his lungs are fully developed. Them steroid injections are magic!!
Unfortunately as he was only 36 weeks when he was born he's needed a little bit of a hand keeping his temperature at a normal level and has to spent his sleepy time in a little incubator - thankfully he received a hall pass for NICU and came straight with me onto the ward so we could recover together which is a lot nicer.
Other than that, he is practically perfect. We are currently building up his appetite and getting into a routine for when we are allowed to go home and he is doing brilliantly. He is such a content little chappy - she says! Lets hope it stays that way for a little bit! - and although he can be a little grumpy when you try and burp him instead of feed him, I'm definitely counting myself lucky!
So our little end of January baby has arrived but how did it all happen. I'll save that post for another day - I've got quite a lot of time here in hospital so lets space it all out a bit shall we!

Congratulations! He's absolutely adorable - hope you both continue to recover and are soon allowed home to fully enjoy him ☺️ What a lovely end to 2016 and an even better start to the new year!!
